Shipping Rates & Methods
Products sold on Downbound.com are shipped from two locations:
(1) Santa Cruz, California, USA, and (2) Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The method of
shipment used to fill your orders, and the shipping costs, will vary depending
on where you are located, and which products you order.
The below details are for standard shipments. If you require overnight or
"delivered before a specific date" shipping, write your instructions in the
checkout comments, and the extra shipping costs will be assessed separately.
Method
Ecolution brand products usually ship from Santa Cruz, California, via UPS
Ground. Most other products, such as dog and cat food, ship from Toronto,
Ontario, Canada, via Canada Post Expedited.
Time
Ecolution brand products shipping from
California via UPS Ground usually ship on the same or next business day, and
will arrive at your doorstep within 1 to 6 business
days after that, depending on your location:
Dog and cat food orders shipping from Canada
via Canada Post Expedited usually ship on Mondays, and will generally arrive at
your doorstep within 5 to 8 business days
after that, depending on your location:

Cost
Shipping rates are calculated live when you are ready to place your order. Most orders result in shipping charges of under
US $10, but orders for heavy items such as large bags of dog or cat food may result in significantly higher shipping charges, depending on where you are located.
Customs
Dog and cat food products, and occasionally other items, which ship from the
Canada, must cross the U.S. border. They are shipped with non-financial packing slips, and very
nominal customs declaration values, so virtually all shipments pass through
customs without extra duties or taxes being assessed. However, in the unlikely
event that extra duties or taxes are assessed, they will only be assessed on
the nominal customs declaration value, not the actual price you paid for your
order. If this happens, contact Rob Karbaum at service@downbound.com
to receive a refund on the amount you were required
to pay USPS.
