Gamma2 began as Gamma Plastics in 1990 as a custom injection molding company in San Diego, CA catering mainly to the biomedical industry. The goal and quest of Gamma2 at that time was to design and develop proprietary products.
In early 1992, Gamma2 entered this market by being awarded a utility patent for new technology regarding a closure device. This device was marketed as the Gamma Seal Lid® which included a ring adapter to be attached to ordinary 12" diameter pail or bucket. This allows a bucket to have an easy re-sealable closure to preserve the contents. The technology has benefited hundreds of industries over the years by solving unique packaging problems. From keeping dry-wall mud from drying out, protecting the environment from the dangers of high risk solid waste, to keeping dry pet food fresh and pest free--the Gamma Seal Lid excels in many uses.
Gamma2 have gone to lengths to ensure that the Vittles Vault is food safe. The Vittles Vault is manufactured from FDA approved high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is used throughout the “human” food industry. The gaskets are made from FDA grade styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), and are lightly lubricated with an FDA grade silicone.
