Both Eric and Lynn are long-time animal rights activists and vegans. They live with approximately 30 rescued cats, dogs, and ferrets in their St. Paul, Minnesota home. All of their cats, dogs, and ferrets are vegan, and the animals that eat Evolution vegan food across North America number in the tens of thousands.

Feeding Instructions:
The daily feeding amount will vary according to the age, breed, activity level, and environment of your dog. As a general rule, you can use the following daily feeding amounts based on the weight of your dog(s):

If your dog weighs more than 75 lbs, you should feed him or her an additional half can per day for every 6 to 10 pounds of body weight over 75 lbs. You can also mix this moist vegan dog food with vegan dog kibble (1 part moist to 1 part kibble). If you are mixing this moist food with an equal amount of Evolution dry kibble, you may reduce the recommended number of cans to feed per day by half.
Note of Caution:
When you receive this product, you will find the following text on the Evolution label: "FOR THE FIRST WEEK, ADD ONE OR TWO TABLESPOONS OF CRUSHED TUNO OR OIL-PACKED TUNA AND GRADUALLY REDUCE THAT AMOUNT TO ZERO." While we agree that you should consider purchasing tuna-friendly Tuno (fake tuna)—if you can find it at your local health food store—as a way of easing your companion(s) onto this new food if they don't take to it immediately, but we do not endorse purchasing real human-grade tuna for that purpose.
